Apparently Mijo's Fusion, in the old Junsuree Thai location, is open or opening soon. According to DFW.com, they had a soft opening on Monday the 26th.
From the description of their menu, it sounds like the fusion will be Mexican/Japanese. In the future they expect to have sushi. Is this like the chinese food/doughnuts place in Springtown? Either way, its brilliant. sushi rolls are basically enchiladas and a wonton is just the eastern version of a chimichanga.
I've been looking forward to this for awhile but never realized there would be a sushi twist. Our Eye in the Sky, First Warn reporters will be on the scene soon to report back to you the most current, Fair & Balanced reviews. Stay tuned.

Buffalo Bros
For years loyal readers have emailed or told me to go visit Buffalo Bros. I have heard about the cool atmosphere, the affordable food and drinks and great pizza. All delays in going to Buffalo Bros had nothing to do with all of you who begged. It was a temporary boycott of all things yankee. Buffalo Bros is owned by a transplanted New Yorker and is a relaxed sports bar without those guys you hate that are always at another buffalo named wing place seen across the metroplex.

Zagat Loves St. Emilion
Zagat says that St. Emilion, our own little French restaurant on 7th street, has the best food in the DFW area. St. Emilion received a score of 29 out of 30 which tied it with the number one restaurant in Austin - Uchi. Uchi, of the Uchiko family of restaurants, may sound familiar to some of you because it is where the newest Top Chef winner originated. That's right, our own little St. Emilion has food as good as the Top Chef of the nation according to BravoTV.
Congrats to St. Emilion, Bernard Tronche and Mark Hitri on the high marks and representing our city so well.
St. Emilion is located at 3617 West 7th Street.

D. Jay's Kountry Grill
Does it seem like there's an East/West divide here in Fort Worth? How many of you go to the East Side of the Fort regularly? How many of you go to the East Side only when you're headed to the Whole Foods in arlington or to buy Affliction t's in dallas? Exactly. Well mom, and my two other readers, I'm here to tell you that the divide shall be broken by this review. After you finish reading this, walls will come down, trips will be made, and pants will no longer fit.

Lambert's Moving
According to DFW.com, Lambert's is shutting its doors, allegedly temporarily, and should reopen sometime in the future, somewhere, maybe. Hopefully it does reopen - they have great food and ambiance.
The good news though, is that Louis Lambert is opening a Jo's Coffee in the West 7th area. Louis has two Jo's in Austin and according to the DFW.com article, the Fort's version should be similar. If so, we're in luck. They'll serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in the coffee shop. And....beer. The writers here at FWHITW have been lamenting the lack of a coffee shop with beer for weeks.
It will also be nice to have a place in the West 7th area that serves breakfast. And beer. Hopefully, its a real breakfast and not some prepackaged egg sandwich like you see at a lot of other places. There's no indication as to when Jo's will open or where it will be located but FWHITW will be last on the scene to report the news when it comes out.
Until we have Jo's, today is your last chance to enjoy Lambert's for awhile.
