got sushi?

See what I did there? I took a popular tag line and made it my own. Brilliant.

Anyways, on a not-necessarily-hole-in-the-wall note, I'm looking for a good sushi restaurant. I would like to stay in Fort Worth if possible, but I will travel if necessary.

I am not a sushi connoisseur, and so I need a restaurant with great quality as well as a large selection so that I can be picky. The website for Piranha has a menu that seems fairly extensive and its downtown so I'm thinking thats the place to go. Have you been to Piranha and if so can you recommend it or warn me?

This is going to be a learning experience for me and I want to eat at a really good place, so that if I don't like it, I'll know I gave it my all.

Also, any recommendations on types of sushi or sashimi for newcomers to the raw world would be helpful.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I love Piranha. My review of it is on Yelp. Three other people have also reviewed it.

pirahna ain't no hole, though.

try tokyo cafe on camp bowie - absolutely sensational... or, if you must stay downtown, mikado under the pour house.

I don't like Pirahna except for the atmosphere, which is hip and young. The food is so-so and pricey for what you get. It's all show, the food presentation is fantastic, but the taste is not as good as other places I've been to. I would also not ever call Tokyo Cafe "sensational". It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. The fish is not fresh tasting to me, and I really enjoy a good piece of fresh sashimi! My favorite place in FW is Hui Chuan on Camp Bowie by far! It's owned (and named after) by this amazing lady who had a dream and went for it and succeeded! The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Love it!

Hui Chuan on Camp Bowie has the best sushi in the Fort. Check it out.
